Hooray, and hooray again! My school, the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, has just been added to the Facebook! We are probably the smallest school currently in the system at just under 300 students (although I’m not positive about this). In fact, we were added SO recently that the signup isn’t even working yet. My school has a very high percentage of early adopters. (Brian mentioned before that over half of the project teams at the school use Gobby for collaborative text editing, and it’s only at version 0.3.) I’m sure that the folks at Facebook are probably pulling their hair out wondering how so many people could be trying to register so soon.

I’m not even sure why I’m so excited about Facebook to begin with. I probably won’t even use it that much. I guess it just comes down to the fact that I’m a web addict, and if I can’t get on a “standard” site, I get antsy.
