In London
No Tags Hey all. Just writing from my London hostel to update you on the progress of the trip. It’s been totally amazing so far. We got in on Saturday night and had an easy time getting through customs and to the tube. We took that all the way to a stop about 50 meters from our hostel, which was great. The hostel is really nice and cheap and not at all seedy, which is good. I recommend the Globetrotter Inn in London if you’re ever here.
Yesterday we just took the tube to Picadilly and then walked all over the city. It is a really amazing place. All the buildings are so old and it just blows your mind. Highlights include a big Virgin music store, lots of neat (and expensive!) shops, and a little bit of time in the British Museum.
Today, we took the train to Salisbury and hired bikes to ride 8 km each way to Stonehenge. It was totally beautiful countryside (thatched roofs and all.) My mind is blown. Stonehenge was also really cool. Afterwards, we visited the Salisbury cathedral, which was incredible. I loved Salisbury a lot, but I’m very tired now. Looking forward to more fun tomorrow…
