Must Have This Job… DROOL

So, I really really really would love to work for Google. They just do everything that I love to do. The things I’m doing to procrastinate my real schoolwork … yeah, that’s what they do all the time. Except of Fridays. When you can get paid to work on personal projects… DROOL.

I mean, look at these internships. I’m applying to both for this coming summer. Not sure if they’ll even notice my pitiful application under the MOUNTAINS that they probably receive, but I pray that they might. These descriptions are really just everything I love. Look at this and this. How can you possibly get better than that? And I really feel like so many parts of my Olin experience, my previous job experience, and my personal self/hobbies have prepared me to do really well in a job at an innovative company like that. But will I get overlooked because I don’t go to MIT or Stanford? I truly hope that their approach to choosing interns is as refreshingly cool as their approach to web apps.

I think I’m really interested in web technologies, knowledge organization/representation, human computer interaction, user interface design, graphic design, and computer science. I wonder if I should change my major from ECE…

Life is scary because it only happens one time.

I think the best application for a job at google is in the form of a start-up that Google wants to buy. Just passing along something I learned this weekend . . .
