Flagr: Sharewhere
A few of my friends from Olin have finally announced their Y Combinator funded Web 2.0 startup. Be one of the first people on the mailing list by visiting the Flagr site! Details are still a bit scarce right now, but it looks like Flagr will be providing mobile tagging of physical locations via cell phones along with some sort of online interface (which is sure to feature tagging, friend sharing, and tons of other data leveraging features.) I’ll be curious to see which maps engine they decide to use for displaying all of this geographical information.
They’re both going to be taking a break from school next semester and working on this full-time in sunny California! To say that I’m jealous would be a huge understatement. I’ll take this as my public opportunity to wish them good luck. As for everyone reading this, be sure to sign up for the mailing list and check out their progress. I know these people. They are going to make something amazing, no doubts about it.
Now if only they could get rid of the tables in their page layout… (just kidding guys!)
