New Layout
The new site layout is finally complete! I’ll probably be tweaking it over the next week or so, but I think I’ve got most of the bugs ironed out. I know I say this every time, but I really like this one much better than all the rest. I suppose it will continue to be an endless cycle. However, I’m pretty happy with this one, so hopefully it will stick around for a while.
I tried to make this version more readable and slick looking. That’s the Boston skyline silhouetted in the header. I also incorporated the Moo.FX javascript effects package so the side menus now take up much less space than they otherwise would.
Also, I updated my RSS feeds to be burnt through FeedBurner in order to make them faster, more compatible, and use all of their cool features for burning in additional information like my delicious posts. Please update any subscriptions to use the new feed address!
Please comment and let me know what you think.

Props on this layout, I like it alot… so much in fact that I can’t seem to remember the old one at all even though I saw it just last week. I think it’s really cool when people show screenshots of previous versions of their site, as you can really compare then and be like “wow”. Maybe you could do that?

Hey Luis, that’s an excellent idea! I actually have screenshots of the last 4-5 versions. Maybe I’ll create a section for the history of the layout, since it changes so often. I’m so glad you like it!

Hello Sean,
Thanks for leaving a comment and the new layout looks terrific! I have to second Luis, I don’t know how your old site looked like and it would be great if we can have screenshot comparable to this one.
Kudos for the new design (plus, you could also add something like what program did you use to make this layout, or how many hours you spent, and the sort. People love small things )

Hey Oskar,
I’m glad that you like it as well! As for how I made it, I use Macromedia Fireworks and Dreamweaver (code view only) for all of my designs. I really like the way that Fireworks has good support for vector shapes, but gives you pixel-perfect control at the same time. As for the time it took, I started about 2 weeks ago, put in a big initial chunk of time, and let it sit for a while while making minor changes, and then spent another big chunk yesterday turning it into a Wordpress theme. Overall, I probably spent 10-12 hours on it.

Hot. It struck me, because we were just sitting in math together. For some reason, your new layout totally reminds me of the jacket you were wearing today that I really liked. *shrug* Happy Break.
