Christmas Loot

Mon 26 Dec 2005 3:24am

Well, it wasn’t exactly a white Christmas (we had NO snow in Billings), but it was a good one. My family had the traditional breakfast of soft-boiled eggs and toast strips, opened presents, and then headed over to my relatives’ house where we caroled, ate, talked, ate some more, talked some more, etc. It was a really fun day. I love hanging out with my extended family. They are all loads of fun and we can talk about anything, from what we are doing with our lives to the latest funny internet videos.

I made out pretty well as far as loot goes this year. The list goes something like this:

  • Canon 20D digital SLR camera with 17-85mm EF-S lens (I already knew I was getting this, since I am helping to pay for it.)
  • The new John Mayer Trio album.
  • Two nice corduroy jackets.
  • Assorted clothing (shirts, homemade knit hats, etc.)
  • Several books (The Google Story, The Color of Magic, etc.)
  • Various other useful gifts (including socks, candy, and an emergency car kit.

It was a great Christmas, and I’m so happy I was able to enjoy it with family. I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas. Here’s to the new year.
