Unholy Addiction

Hello,

I am adicted to web design. I admit that I have a problem. That’s the first step right? I wonder if there are AA groups for people like me.

Explaination: I can’t stop redesigning my webpage! One of these times I will do a design that I actually like for long enough to put up as the real deal. I’m almost positive it will be this time.

Just take a look at the evidence below if you don’t believe that I have a sickness:

Latest redesign of my site to actually go live:
http://www.seanmcb.com
Ok, I did this design a while ago (summer before sophomore year?) I don’t like it at ALL anymore since it doesn’t really reflect what I have learned since about good design and CSS/XHTML coding. And yet I haven’t replaced it…

The Lost Designs: Volume 1
http://seanmcb.com/test/
I did this design sometime during first semester sophomore year and over winter break. Didn’t really like it enough to get the thing up in place of the old one with the business of school. It falls into disrepair. Winos start hanging around…

The Lost Designs: Volume 2
http://seanmcb.com/test2/
This design happened at the beginning of this summer before I headed back out to Olin to work. I was looking to transition from my handcoded backend to using wordpress. Didn’t really like this one enough to change over either, and the added work of changing backends cemented it’s doom. It joins the first lost design in the graveyard of the unused.

A New Hope: Truth and Reconciliation
http://seanmcb.com/test3/
I’ve just completed this newest design. I think that it reflects my actual personality a lot better than my techno-esque previous designs. It’s also a little less CRAAAZY. I like it. Will I have the gumption to follow through? Will I change backends? Will I use Wordpress or Ruby on Rails? Will this one also die? Only time can tell.

The evidence is clear folks. I have a problem. I rest my case.
