At the Fair
So, I lied about going to the fair the other night. My friend and I
were going to meet up with some other friends, but we got going late
and all of us decided that we didn’t want to pay the silly entrace fee,
so we just went to Applebees and had honey barbeque buffalo chicken and
desserts instead. (YUUUM)
TODAY, I ACTUALLY went to the fair with my parents. We went because
they were doing horse racing today, which is actually pretty popular.
You can go and bet on the races and it is pretty fun times. I only
placed one bet, a crazy longshot superfecta (guessing the top 4 places
in order for a race) on a seven furlong race with six horses. I had 3
of the four horses right but in the wrong order. Oh well, good thing
I’m not a compulsive gambler. If I would have gotten it right, then the
payout was like 40:1.
Here are some shots from the fair:
Go horses go! It wasn’t GOOD horse racing by any means, but come on, this is Montana. We just grow them, there’s no money here.
I thought this was pretty cool. Two guys in purple sequins riding
motorbikes upside down and on the walls of a giant metal sphere while a
lady just chills in the center. I was a little skeptical that this was
going to work out. The thing was set up right by a pond, and I wondered
if the ties on the sphere would break and the whole shebang would go
rolling underwater… now that would be a trick.
